PRoJECT BaCKGRoUND

To initiate development of Saskatoon's Blairmore neighbourhood, the city acquired the services of BCL to complete the preliminary planning, modelling and conceptual design for the sanitary sewer and storm water management networks. Phase 1 is located at the western edge of the City and required a storm water study of the 88 hectare site and adjacent existing neighbourhood of Parkridge (200 hectare total area in study). Modelling and planning was completed to accommodate storm water generated within Blairmore & alleviate recurring flooding in Parkridge with design and construction occurring through to 2010.

• 4.1 ha Retention Pond & 1.5 ha "Dry" Pond
  
• 600 mm to 1500 mm Storm Sewer
• Sanitary Sewer System Including Gravity Mains, 70 L/s Pumping Station, & 2.3 km 300 mm of Force Main
